Resident CCNY is a responsive full-stack web application designed to facilitate the posting of upcoming events by resident staff for CCNY Towers' student residents.

It is powered by React, Node + Express, and PostgreSQL and it serves as an informative web application offering access to social gatherings, local events, and a community forum. This platform empowers Towers' residents to discover shared activities within their community and fosters discussions on various topics, including anonymous posting to address community concerns, with moderation by Towers staff to prevent misuse.

The inception of Resident CCNY originated from a hackathon challenge, aimed at identifying enhancements for the Towers and presenting viable implementation methods. The existing issue at the Towers was the cluttered and disorganized bulletin boards for event announcements, necessitating a more streamlined and effective event marketing approach. Additionally, there was a need to enhance community engagement due to a low retention rate.

Resident CCNY achieved first place in The Towers Hackathon!
